What This Fortnite Wheel Starts With
The wheel loads six squad roles: IGL, Fragger, Support, Scout, Builder and Sniper. Competitive Fortnite squads divide responsibility along those lines, and rolling for them stops the same player calling every rotation. Open Edit the list to replace the roles with your party’s names when you want the wheel to pick people rather than jobs.
How to Split a Fortnite Party Into Squads
Fortnite runs Solo, Duos, Trios and Squads, so the size you are filling decides how many draws you need. Type every player once, switch on Remove entry after it is picked, then spin and deal the names into groups.
| Mode | Players per team | Draws for a lobby of 12 |
|---|---|---|
| Duos | 2 | 6 pairs |
| Trios | 3 | 4 trios |
| Squads | 4 | 3 squads |
Deal across rather than down. Send the first draw to squad one, the second to squad two, the third to squad three, then start again at squad one. Filling one squad completely before starting the next loads the first three names drawn into a single team.
Rolling Fortnite Squad Roles
Roles matter more than raw aim in a coordinated squad. The IGL makes the rotation calls, the Fragger takes the opening fight, Support carries the heals and mats, and the Scout watches the flank. Spinning for roles gives a squad a reason to try a position nobody volunteers for.
Run the wheel once per player with no-repeat on and each role goes to exactly one person. Run it with no-repeat off and a role can land twice, which suits a bigger party filling two squads from the same six roles.
Using the Wheel for Drop Spots and Challenges
The editor accepts any list, so the same wheel handles more than teams. Type the named locations you are willing to drop at and spin for a landing spot. Type weapon rarities, or a set of self-imposed challenges, and spin for a rule the whole squad has to play by. The list changes; the wheel does not.
Fortnite reshapes its map every season, so the wheel ships no built-in location list. A list you type this week stays accurate; a list shipped in the tool would not.
Keeping a Record of the Draw
Every draw joins the Results list in order, with a tally underneath showing how often each entry has come up. Export CSV saves the sequence, which settles the argument when somebody insists they were Support last game too. Copy share link packs the list into a URL your squad can open.
The other gaming wheels carry different starting lists for the same engine.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this Fortnite team generator use my Epic account?
No. The wheel reads nothing from Fortnite or Epic Games. You type the names or roles yourself, and the wheel picks from that list only.
Can I put my whole party on the wheel?
Yes. Open Edit the list, replace the six roles with one player name per line, and press Apply to wheel. The wheel accepts up to 100 entries.
How do I make sure nobody gets picked twice?
Turn on Remove entry after it is picked. Each name leaves the wheel as it lands, so a run of spins deals every player out once.
Can the wheel pick a drop location?
Yes, once you type the locations in. The wheel ships no location list because the Fortnite map changes every season and a built-in list would go stale.
Is the Fortnite team generator free?
Yes. The wheel needs no account, no download and no payment, and it places no limit on spins.
