How to use the NFL team wheel
- Set the field. All 32 clubs start on the wheel. Tap AFC or NFC to drop a whole conference, tap a division name such as NFC North to drop its four teams, or tap a single crest to remove just that club.
- Spin. Press the big button, tap the hub in the middle of the wheel, or just hit the space bar.
- Read the result. The wheel slows to a stop and the winning club appears with its crest, conference and division.
- Keep going if you need an order. Switch on Remove team after it is picked and each winner drops off the wheel, so a run of spins gives you 32 teams in a random order with no repeats.
What people use it for
- Choosing which franchise to run in Madden, a franchise save or a rebuild challenge.
- Setting the draft order for a fantasy football league without anyone arguing about who picks first.
- Picking sides before a game of backyard or flag football.
- Giving yourself a random team to follow for a season.
- Handing out teams in a classroom, youth club or office pool so nobody chooses their own.
- Settling a bet, a survivor pool entry or a “pick a team, any team” challenge.
How the NFL is laid out on the wheel
The NFL is split into two conferences of sixteen clubs. The AFC holds the East (Bills, Dolphins, Patriots, Jets), North (Ravens, Bengals, Browns, Steelers), South (Texans, Colts, Jaguars, Titans) and West (Broncos, Chiefs, Raiders, Chargers). The NFC mirrors it with the East (Cowboys, Giants, Eagles, Commanders), North (Bears, Lions, Packers, Vikings), South (Falcons, Panthers, Saints, Buccaneers) and West (Cardinals, Rams, 49ers, Seahawks). Each wedge on the wheel is painted in that club’s primary colour, so you can usually tell where the pointer landed before the result card even appears.
Are the picks really random?
Yes. Every spin pulls a value from your browser’s cryptographic random number generator and rejects any value that would bias the outcome, so all 32 teams — or however many you left on the wheel — have exactly the same chance. The winner is chosen before the wheel starts turning; the animation simply drives to it. Nothing is weighted and no result is sent to a server.

Frequently asked questions
How many teams are on the NFL wheel?
All 32 — sixteen in the AFC and sixteen in the NFC, grouped into the eight divisions. Leave them all in, or narrow it down to a single division.
Can I spin only AFC or only NFC teams?
Yes. Tap the conference header to switch that whole conference on or off, or tap a division name to toggle its four clubs.
Can I stop the same team coming up twice?
Turn on “Remove team after it is picked”. Each winner drops off the wheel, so a run of spins gives you an order with no repeats — useful for a fantasy draft order.
Is the NFL team generator free?
Completely. No account, no download, no limit on spins.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The wheel resizes to the screen and every control is built for touch.
Are my picks saved anywhere?
Only in your own browser, and only which teams you switched off plus your sound preference. No result is ever sent to us.
